Warehouse management is the process that relates to the setting up and management of local, country, regional and global storage facilities. This course would also include inventory management. Inventory management is about properly managing inventory, in appropriate facilities, from their receipt until their intended final point of distribution. It is an integral part of the programme’s supply chain; poor inventory management will affect the programme’s ability to operate in a timely and efficient manner thereby preventing it from meeting commitments to both beneficiaries and donors.

2. Explain the importance of warehouse management.
3. Identify effective and safe ways to handle, store, record & report on inventory.
4. List specialist warehousing considerations including temperature monitoring, prevention of infestation in a
warehouse, medical product recall and setting up of specialty storage facility.
